QUEERS OF TODAY

2020, digital photography

This project pays homage to queer artists of 1920s Paris. I recreated portraits of Edna St. Vincent Millay, Berenice Abbott and Djuna Barnes in a contemporary setting with queer artists of 2020s Rotterdam.
I still wanted it to be in my style, so I did colour photography and chose for the poses to be more casual to match the 2020s environment.
