I am a queer Polish artist, currently studying in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
I think it is evident in my work, that I’m trying to navigate living in western Europe through exploring my roots. Being so tied to my identity, to my Polishness and my queerness, has been a source of internal conflict for me. But making art is where this conflict can play out. It is a space for me to get to know myself and my position in the world.
I often work in response to socio-political happenings that anger me, and they’re usually things that happen in Poland. My want to fix my home is all-consuming and making art helps me distance myself from the problem at hand.
