grandpa's house

I took these photos a few months before my grandpa died. The whole family felt that he didn’t have long left. I didn’t plan for this series to happen, but during one of our visits I just picked up the camera and documented the house and the garden. All the spots and things that reminded me of him. His love of plants, his passion for cooking. The shower where he needed help to be washed. The iconic belt rack that will always hold his memory. And my mother. With a composed exterior, trying to hold onto what is left of her father.
